Activities and Community Access
There are always opportunities to make new friends and learn new skills at Summer Breeze
Our staff plan a varied and enjoyable social calendar for residents, in the sensory room or the games and activities space. Our residents also enjoy time gardening and relaxing outdoors, and the Garden Room offers an additional quiet space in which to relax and restore.
We encourage a full and active lifestyle where friends, relatives and guests are always welcome.
Service users are encourage and re-enabled in independent living skills in the home. Whether its learning to make a cup of tea, cooking healthy and balance meals or house hold domestics each resident is supported individually to reach their goal.
A fundamental part of daily living for residents is the activities in the community and in the home at Summer Breeze.
- In line with the service users’ care plans and risk assessment we take time to work with them to build an activity time table of their choice.
- We work with them to identify new interests and encourage them continuously.
- Where capacity is limited, we are able to use our skilled knowledge to understand needs and interests and build a timetable for them.
- Here at Summer Breeze, we firmly believe activities are an important aspect of one’s wellbeing, development and social interactions.
